Editorial Policy

How content gets written, reviewed, corrected and retired.

Authorship

Every guide and project lists its author and their relevant trade or experience. Authors may not review their own work. Reviewer information appears on the page because accountability should be visible.

Review workflow

Content moves through five states: Draft, In Review, Published, Archived and Scheduled. Only editors may publish or archive. Articles and projects keep revision history so substantive changes are traceable. Sources and assumptions are documented for reviewable claims.

Updates & corrections

Home improvement practice and products change. Guides show a last-updated date, and material changes trigger re-review by the technical reviewer. Found an error? Contact us — corrections are published, not quietly patched.

What we do not publish

Instructions for unsafe work by unqualified readers, fabricated statistics or invented prices, undisclosed sponsorships, and content implying professional certifications our authors do not hold.
